I Have Memories I Can Never Forget

This is one of the memories I have of my mother that still makes me smile.

A door to door JW evangelist knocked on my mother's apartment door one day.
(My mother was a very militant atheist, Stalinist and long time secret member of the Communist Party)

Maybe they should have had my mom on the Do Not Knock list.

Here was the dialogue:

"Good Morning, Ma'am. Do you know God?"

" No! Do you?"

"Yes, Ma'am, we do."

"Good! Then tell God when all the starving children in the world are fed, we can talk!"

Door closed fast and firmly.
