I Have Memories I Can Never Forget
There was this older lady who made up her face to look festive when I visited the Caribbean island of Anguilla back in the summer of 2012. That summer, my family, friends and I attended a summer festival that is annually held in July called the Summer Festival. My Aunt who lived on the island for several years set up a canopy to sell food and drinks for customers to pull in some money for her personal necessities. this event was held all over the island, but plenty of people celebrated this event on the beach where this story takes place.
Back to the story, no one other than this woman stuck out like a sour thumb. When she came to our tent to grab a bite to eat, if I remember correctly, the woman's lips were a bright red, she had bright red rouge on her cheeks, light green glitter slabbed around her eyes, long fake eyelashes, glitter on her face and a whole lot of eyeliner. On top of that, she had so many wrinkles on her face so her festive look did not look appealing to the eye. for her outfit, she had those festive beads, the ones that people wear for Madi Gras in Louisiana and a bright colored dress. I know she was trying to look festive for the annual festival, but to be honest she looked more like a clown who just left the circus tent for a 15 minute break.
