I Have Memories I Can Never Forget

Since being in hospital, I have some memories I would rather forget. But my brain seems to love dredging up certain things I would rather chose not to remember and as much as I would like to cling to my past, it's sad that most poignant moments can be washed away with time. So how do you sieve away the bad? For one thing, something came into my mind while laying in my hospital bed that I hadn't thought about in years. A friend a school who spread lies about me when we were only fourteen. I distinctly remember feeling sad and depressed, crying alone and not eating properly. The things she said about me were very painful and it seemed strange that I would suddenly remember such a thing our of the blue like that.Odd.

I have some powerful bad things that creep upon me at times still. Sometimes the stupid stuff too. No easy answer, I will say out loud "stop!" or "NO!" And just move on. Our brains are weird sometimes and pain or mistakes are too easy to remember. You have plenty of "right" times. Take quite time to reflect, remember and meditate on these. Often a song, or even just a music genre can help get you recentered. Sometimes a smell even helps. EVERYONE experience this.

@OKWTF2 Very true. I meditate a lot. I also do Yoga, anything calming I love. But I suppose our minds can turn a little 'OCD' sometimes!
