I Grew Up With a Verbally Abusive Mother

My mom would sometimes walk in my bedroom and wake me up just to yell at me and verbally abuse me. She would yell at me to go to bed early in the first place and then yell at me when I was sleeping.

That hurts my heart. The reason we are alive on earth is because our parents fucked. An action we didn’t take. Then we got no choice in anything: not our existence, our brain, our body, this world and how it functions; we were just forced to adapt. BAM... reward and punishment all our lives... be a “good” boy/girl means doing what they want... being “bad” means no longer being convenient. And that hurts like a ton of bricks, realizing the way we’re forced to adapt and used, when we chose nothing in the first place.
