I Live In Maryland

My Beloved Maryland..... As the daughter of a service man (Air Force, to be exact), I lived in Maryland for a short time, while a toddler...in fact, my recently deceased sister was born here.  But after we moved, as all military families do, I never set foot in Maryland again...until March of 2010.  When I first came here, winter was still hanging on, after a humongous snow storm....snow stayed on the ground from the same storm for WEEKS!!  LOL!  Having lived the majority of my life either in the South or in warm climes, I thought Maryland was frigid and unwelcoming.  And then came spring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I fell in love with my new home, and former plans to hurry back to Georgia were forgotten...I was, and still am, entranced by her beauty!!  I still marvel at the gorgeous scenery all around me every time I go outside my house...even in the middle of the city, you can see her beautiful mountains in the background.  I AM a transplanted Marylander....but one that is so very proud to be one!!!  I hope to never have to live elsewhere!!!

I agree. The seasons seem to pass quickly in hind sight. All of them provide something wonderful for the senses. Then there's the proximity to beaches, mountains, culture and entertainment.

But the politics here are quite frustrating.
