I Think A True Connection Is Rare

Did you ever feel that instant connection with someone you just met? Where you just click with a total stranger who feels as familiar as an old friend. Conversation flows easily, you laugh, you share, you joke, you flirt and all of it feels as natural as breathing. Where something deep in your soul whispers that this person is supposed to be a part of your life. Sometimes those connections evolve into something deeper, more meaningful, that person becomes a lifelong friend, a lover, a soulmate... but sadly, there are times when one or both can't sustain the initial spark and connection and that person fades from your life but not from your mind. You may not talk anymore, but they linger in your mind, in your memories, in your heart and you can't help but wonder "what if..."

Those connections, like ghosts or frayed threads of a once beautiful tapestry, remain a part of you long after the friendship or relationship ends.

Yes, they do indeed, just as you remain a part of them.

I like that way of looking at it ... they become woven into the fabric of who we are 💓

Yes... I've actually written a post that was eerily similar to this one back on EP.

Would you happen to still have it or have a copy of it?

@diablesse: ok not that similar after all😂 But I think we had the same kind of person in mind when we wrote our posts

It's the same idea behind both posts, and it can be wonderful when you experience that kind of connection.

I've felt instant connection with certain people I've met
not in a romantic sense though

I've felt it with people who have since become close friends and in the more romantic sense as well.

They do leave unforgettable memories behind and when they fade from your life, you're left wondering whether meeting them was a blessing or a curse.
ChampagneOnIce · 51-55, F
@diablesse: You know how I feel about that...
diablesse · 56-60, F
@ChampagneOnIce: I was thinking of you when I typed that reply.
Like all day and night
