I Stole and Got Away With It

Technically, me and my sister did, but it was mostly her doing; I was an unwitting accomplice and didn't know until after the fact! 😰 When her and I were still living together, we were going shopping at Walmart for our house and my sister wanted to a buy herself a new pillow. She happened upon a frickin' $50=60 pillow! I don't remember what the name of it was, but it boasted about being the most comfortable pillow you'll ever have on the packaging. 🙄 Anyway, when we go to check out our stuff, the clerk was having trouble with the scanner. I guess that one wasn't working right and they had to bring someone to take a look at it and fix it and when it was finally fixed, the clerk had to scan all of our items again. I wasn't paying attention, but my sister noticed that the clerk didn't scan that expensive pillow, but clearly didn't realize since they just handed it over after we had finished paying! 😦 My sister said she didn't say anything with the hopes that the alarm wouldn't be set off when we were exiting the building and sure enough, they weren't! I was still completely unaware until we got to our car, when she told me "I totally just stole that pillow!" I looked at the receipt and yep, it wasn't on there! 😱 As far as I know, she (or we) did get away with it too! We eventually went back to that Walmart some time later and we were never questioned or spoken to about it or anything. We were still young and dumb when that happened, no way would we let that happen now even if we knew we would get away with it again. Or at least I wouldn't! I probably can't speak for my damn sister. 😆
