Why do human beings treat each other this way?

I am almost 43 years old and I still don't get it. I mean, it's almost [b]2021[/b]. It's been major problem in our society that should slowly be getting better, not worse.

@Tinkles Well it's definitely gotten worse ever since Trump took office. Not to mention the snakes that slithered out from their holes ever since George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement which was reignited as a result.
