I Sometimes Hate Technology

Tech Genius. That's me all right. (JK). I can use technology but usually I can't fix it.

My excuse for what happened today is that I've had a tough technology week.

First, last week the fan in my bathroom died. I had to throw it away, because it was getting hot when it wasn't turned on. I ordered a new one, but apparently I ordered the kind that can't be plugged in to the wall. ($16.99) It has to go back.

My wireless headphones went down. I tried everything to fix them. I recharged my rechargeable batteries, and finally, in despair, bought some expensive rechargeables and a brand new headset. None of the new stuff worked, either. ($75.00)

I decided the problem was my laptop, and I paid $243.00 to renew my tech support options with the laptop manufacturer, and they told me everything looks just fine.

THEN the internet went down for two days, and I had to schedule an appointment for my internet service provider to come and take a look. It seems my modem actually died. Now I have a fancy new modem, that takes up half the space and it's twice as powerful!! Free!!

And to my shock, after the new modem was installed, my wireless headphones began to work!

BUT...my printer stopped working immediately after the new modem was installed. The printer and the modem talked to each other for a little while, and decided they didn't like each other. The printer still isn't working, so I can't print out the return mailing label for the bathroom fan. Circular, isn't it?

So I've had to sign up for in-home tech support,(again), and they will be arriving in a few days to get the printer up and running. ($248.00)!!!

Now, I don't wish to complain, (excessively), BUT...this morning I tried to use my Sonic Toothbrush to brush my teeth, and it kept shutting off every other second.

"My GOSH!!!", I said to myself, "All this technology is just garbage! NOW I have to order a new toothbrush!!!!!" I checked to make sure the toothbrush was properly seated in the charger. No flies on me.

And then I happened to look at the charger. No light!!! Defective!!!!

Nope. Not plugged in. 馃槀馃槀馃槀 $582.99!!!!馃槶馃槶馃槶

@Wol62 No, it saved me $29.99...the cost of a new toothbrush. I had to SPEND the $582.99 to buy two one year polices for tech assistance, and for a pair of new headphones. THAT is gone.

@4meAndyou Shit, sorry my English is not good!
As for poor technology reminds me of a time I was babysat, when I was 10 by a 13 year old, who made a mess of his clothes and neither of us could work the washing machine, took us both an hour before we went down to the laundry-mat!
