I Remember Being 17

This is my last post aged 17. I don't think anyone will remember it's my birthday tomorrow... I don't wanna grow up, I never had a childhood to being with, always had to carry responsibility that adults did.. even at the age of 10 holding the family together. Always remember people's birthdays by heart but none cares. I wanna stay 17 I wanna be a kid. This wasn't how I dreamt my birthday would be... friendless, forgotten, outside the suburbs.. I can see that dreams never come true. I'm so disappointed, but still i only remembered it was my birthday because my phone just wished me happy birthday... thnx phone ur the best.

Dear Smiley,

Sorry I didn't know you on your birthday, one month ago. I know What it is like to be sad, yet must carry on.
I am in Children's Hospital, I know not where, for about a year and a half. Very sick, and tired. This is not fun, either.

Happy belated birthday. In my ___ 18 is still a child til 21.
I also look like a child; à growth anomalie has kept me at one metre, AND less than 3stone. So, for the sake of size, I am in Boys Under Twelve ward. I am à small boy by any standards.

@Estoypuber: Hello puber.
Didn't know u spoke french, ça va?

I speak little french but both my parents are fluent in french.

Being sad is a horrible thing but one must carry on because every second is a a gift.

Why are you in a hospital?

Thank you for ur wishes, and wish u a belated happy birthday too!

Ones disabilities make life hard but we must make the most of them.

Bonjour Smiley,
It's been a long haul. Started by dropping dead in the grand salon, 2 Novembers ago. Mum electrocuted me back to life, but I awoke in hospital. Then heart surgery. What FUN!
I couldn't heal, infections again and again. Then BIG torso surgery: I had Peritonitis. They had to pull everything out and wash it, wash the inside walls of my soretoe. No, my... Anyway, they put everything back where it belongs.
My long incision was hot to the touch, so the surgeon's partner, a man I did not know, and who spoke not a word, appeared in black motorcycle leathers, felt the heat, removed the staples, put a hand on either side of the incision and RIPPED it open.
I can tell you, getting and unexpected look at one's own guts is quite the shock. The anonymous motorcycleman then left the room, and a night nurse came in to pack the open wound with gauze and then soak it with sterile saline. Do you know the difference between night nurse and and elephant?
Four pounds.
I forgot to mention they found a tumour, the size of the doctor's fist, in the LR abdomen, then found tumours throughout my whole body. That's what has kept my hospitaleyes.

So, that's me, how's you?

@Estoypuber:
Bonsoir Puber!

wow that's quite a lot.

Currently I'm drowning in school work, university requirements and exams as well as helping a friend.

She used to be extremely rich but currently her family is at risk of going bankrupt.. this happened overnight. She's extremely rich yet extremely humble and simple. In school she cleans the dishes when we all get together for breakfast. Most people I know are like that which for me is a role model to the society.

We had a big party to try and invite the important people and other connections we have to try and help her family find contracts to gain money. I had to plan the event for over a hundred people and because it was so big we had to do it outside.

Mind you I'm not into parties at all.

Medically I'm not very good, my kidneys and colon are failing... no idea why. My immune system is weak due to medicine abuse which doctors convinced my parents would help.

I'm sorry to hear about that.. you see tumours are a horrible thing.. they come out of nowhere BUT they sometimes disappear the exact same way. Some call these a blessing.

One thing my grandmother would tell me when in stress is "La vie est belle", didn't speak French until recently so I never cared but after learning french it's actually a funny thing to say... when life is trying to bite you, try to charm life by complimenting it.

Very weird don't you think?

I remember when I was 17 and my birthday came. I felt exactly the same way. I'm 18 and I'll soon be 19 and I still feel the same way. I just need to keep fighting, I'm telling myself. I see my friends that are much happier then I am. But it's fine. Some day I'll be happy and satisfied with my life. And I'm not giving up. No. Matter. What.
