I fear old age, not death. I guess most people don't want a painful death that's why they fear it.

@ABCDEF7 usually dying person have 4 pain ,
1. Physical pain cause of which death is happening
2. Pain of losing everything
3. Pain of not knowing where they will land up.
4. Pain/fear of unknown.
Fear of pain many people overcome as they grow old. Cause we go thru many illnesses, still prolonged illness no1 wud like. I think if we can learn to leave body at will that fear will go.

@ABCDEF7 from what i know, three kindof people "bad", neutral and good people go thru different experience during death.
Only "bad" person suffers extreme pain, its compared to pain one wud feel if you take thorny bush and put in thru someone's mouth and out from bottom (not a very nice analogy)
Rest 2 kind pass thru body easily.
But 90 percent people are "bad" in todays world :/
Tthanks for the link ill watch it.

@ABCDEF7 they are talking about the pain of separation of subtle body and physical body.
Its also compared to how a father would feel if you chop off their sons head infront of them.
Physical body will definitely have a reason to shut down.
Its not so painful always though. As far as about saints, many take karma of others as they dont care abt their phsyical suffering.
Like imagine being shot at, i bet it wud feel so much painful in our head.. But if you read actual account of someone being shot, well if body is critically injured, your consciousness shifts before you feel the pain, many times bodys mechanism itself shuts pain.
I mean kidney stone pain can very well be more than pain of an old person dying.

@ABCDEF7 its kindof complex, it has to be studied on person to person basis, but in general people who solely indulge in worldly pleasure, their pranic body doesnt easily seperate from phsyical , that pain is what i was talking about, now as far as phsyica pain is considered that depends on how each person is supposed to die. Some saints go thru physical pain, either their own karma, i belive for ramakrishna paramhansa it was his own,, and for many others it cud be others. Some people die untimely, it can be quick. It becomes subjective.

@Om2014 Well here the karmic existence comes into picture. You opened an account and you are not allowed to exit the system without completely clearing the balance. Till then you have to carry the balance to your next birth/life.
I have heard a story that Ramakrishna paramhansa took the deadly disease of one of his followers. How can you be so sure that he got throught cancer for his own karma. What his karma you want to point out?

@ABCDEF7 yes the balance has to become zero.
I have heard a story where Mother was telling paramhansa to bear the pain of cancer when Vivekananda asked his guru to pray to mother to take away the cancer. Since ramakrishna cured many people by praying to mother. But mother told that bear this otherwise you will have to take another birth for just this one payment.
I guess there are different stories floating around. Im not sure now which one to believe. But one thing we can agree on is, whether you have taken someone elses karma or its urs, death can be painful or not depending on that. Also people Pay karma in many ways, how our bodies will perish is also one of many payments, we dont knw if it will be physically painful or not but we gotta get over all kindofs fear for our own good. Infact once we do end up doing that, physical suffering will not matter as well.
