I Love Sitting By A Fire

Had a friend help me do some yard work over the weekend. We cleaned up limbs and twigs from all the many storms we have had lately, and made a big pile. Next weekend we are going to have a little bonfire to get rid of it all, and maybe have a bottle of wine and something to eat. S’mores are always good, or those big juicy hot dogs. Love kneeling there is the heat of the fire enjoying my favorite treat... messy but fun.

Having spent many nights by a fire, enjoying the company of friends, drink and tasty snores, while the children run about roasting marshmallows and hot dogs. The allure of the fire is primitive, and a bridge to our less civilized roots I think. It calls us, and some might not answer the call, but I for one, never let it go to voice mail. 😉
