There is a moment in this game where this song is triggered. When I reached it I stopped and let it loop 5 or so times. Maybe more. It is one that has always moved me to some emotion. Often to tears so tissues need to be near. Perchance to a state of pensive reflecting; a realization at how fragile life, and love, are. And the same realization of love lost; an acceptance of a condition we either let happen or could not control.
I grieve, silently, for those who have love, or COULD have love in their lives. Real, honest feelings from another that is- and they let it slip away for whatever reason. That is one of the saddest of the human tragedies. Usurping the death of another at times as part of US dies in this process. We may even lose the capacity and propensity to love another and be loved in return.
I believe that is Ivory Joe hunter in the background piano. Ivory Joe's sound defined him as a musician. No one played like him! And no one has since.

@Magenta I had wrote this originally for a gaming site where I knew many would relate to it. However as I read and rereed it with the music it began to affect me to the point of a tear each time and I knew here was place it needed to be; if only for an instant.

@BexEyes This is such a heartbreaking song!!! And it requires us to listen.I had to do that in the game. Stop my character and just let the song play as if live was suspended.
And yet, is it so good of a tearjerker. We feel her loss, we feel OUR loss.

I believe we all own, or have, trivialities, Trinkets of days gone by. By we also have people in our past that we do not have. Maybe they were just friends , maybe more. But we lack them.
