I Care About Homeless People

I was watching a video about a man building tiny houses for poor people. He was talking about the city didn't want tiny houses on the street's. But they take people tents and all their thing's to clean up the street's. So where are people suppose to go. Shelters are full as can be. Why not use some of these empty lot's or tear down abandoned building's. Let people like this guy build tiny homes for people. Not like these lots or abandoned building's will ever be use. Sounds a lot better then using millions of dollars on a new shelter that would take 10 or more year's to build.

I am sure there would be local businesses that would donate partials of land for tiny houses in exchange for tax incentives. My City adopted a plan last summer to offer jobs to the homeless. It was clean up jobs at city parks, they pick up trash etc. It paid $10 an hour ALL CASH. Nothing held out. Of course they didn't get holidays or vacations etc. But it gave them a chance to provide food and other necessities for themselves.

A lot took part in the program, but there were a few who just didn't want to work.

@lasergraph yea people can pick up trash around the city down by the beaches also. Built these house's. Mow the grass. I am sure business would help then having the government pay for it
Our government is selfish. No wonder everyone cheats their taxes and lies on their homeowners insurance policy.

Because the city/state can't apply a property tax unless it's zoned and approved.
