Dogs and haggis

[image deleted]
It is actually illegal to allow dogs to worry haggis, especially during the season between October and September. This breed of long haired haggis are unique to Bheinn-Y-Gezzabreak, 17 Scots miles SSW of Gotchabam in Moray

@Ghostinthemachine That makes it all the more interesting. If you see any treasure, let me know and I'll claim it for myself.
@helensusanswift Next you will be telling me Nessie isn鈥檛 real and doesn鈥檛 wear a kilt while strolling the Mull of Kintyre.
helensusanswift26-30, F
@Ghostinthemachine I would never deny Nessie. She and her forbears have been around for centuries, terrorising poor old Saint Columba and munching on tourists and deep fried Mars bars.
@helensusanswift I lost a tourist friend to Nessie back in the 70s. The 1870s.
I have vowed to avenge her death.
Deep fried Mars bars are a Carnivallian delicacy in my part of the world. Deep fried anything, actually

@Ghostinthemachine Nessie can be dangerous whenever there is a '7' in the month. If you're going Nessie hunting, carry plenty whisky - she loves it.
@helensusanswift I鈥檝e been using Scotch.
Now I see the error of my ways.
helensusanswift26-30, F
@Ghostinthemachine We just call it whisky. But we don't take offence to people who call it Scotch.
@helensusanswift as long as it isn鈥檛 grounds to be eaten as Haggis
helensusanswift26-30, F
@Ghostinthemachine Oh, no. But you can eat haggis with whisky- the twa gang thegither, as Rabbie Burns said.
@helensusanswift I鈥檝e never tried Haggis, and am curious.
Maybe, should I ever venture to Alba.
When in Rome...

@Ghostinthemachine It is delicious with mashed potatoes and turnips, a hint of brown sauce and off you go.
Look for MacSween's of Bruntsfield haggis - or a local butcher's.
@helensusanswift will do, and thank you.
You鈥檙e a bonny fine lass!
helensusanswift26-30, F
@Ghostinthemachine Why, thank you, sir.

@Ghostinthemachine That is a documentary. Not a joke. It is true. . .
@helensusanswift same non-fiction filmmaking that brought us Haggis and Nessie.
helensusanswift26-30, F
@Ghostinthemachine I eat haggis regularly, but Nessie - interesting. The voice recognition machines are pretty pointless in Scotland anyway. We have so many different accents in this small country it's unbelievable. I speak Moray Doric, my husband speaks pure Ayrshire, my boss Hebridean, and my work colleague Orkney - all vastly different.
@helensusanswift Amazing to think about the origin of all the dialects, and how you would have to learn them all in order to communicate.
There is also sign language....
helensusanswift26-30, F
@Ghostinthemachine Yes, there is that. 馃憤
