How do you save your passwords, pin numbers for multiple accounts in case you are forgotten?

Unless you have photographic memory, that is a bless but if you have bad memory, bruh you are in deep trouble. 🤣
I have around 12 passwords that I remember.
@UnderLockDown It's easier than one might think. For example, the greenhouse PC would be based on something immediately apparent, like "20begonias10hrsdark", which is the number of plants and how long the lights are off. No one else would even think of that particular combination of characters even if they were standing in the greenhouse, but I think of it every time I open the greenhouse door.🤓😎

In a Excel/spreadsheet file:

1. The file is password protected, this password I have memorised.
2. Every tab/sheet is meant for a particular type of accounts like, Email, Social(Networking), Career, Office(Work), Cards, Banking, Shopping, etc.
3. Every sheet contains columns like, Website, username, password, email, recovery detail, description, other info.
4. I keep this file in my google docs. I have a google drive app on my Laptop that keeps a copy on google server synchronised with the copy on my laptop folder. This prepares a backup in case of your system crash.
5. Google can't open the file on browser in edit mode. And also requires you to enter the file password before you can even view it online. This makes the information accessible remotely in hour of need, but securely.

More Points to take care about..

6. Always secure your accounts with good passwords and two factor authentication whenever required and available.
7. Always ensure that you have configured the recovery options securely and the information is up to date, like your current mobile no. Permanent email, etc.
8. Don't use public computers to access sensitive information/website. Even if on a reliable person's system, use incognito window.

Just last week, I typed out all my passwords and printed a hard copy in case my laptop or phone ever fails.

This is in the news:

Stefan Thomas, a German programmer based in San Francisco, forgot a password that would allow him to access 7,002 bitcoin, which could be worth $ 220 million this week.
@JohnnyBliss Losing $60 in bitcion was a contributing factor in my switch to Linux. Windows was such a pain in the ass to begin with and then #10 crashed my laptop. I'm a Linux devotee now.🐧

The cats remind me what they are when I need them...

Evernote app 🥰 it's password protected and saves all my notes on a cloud and can be easily accessed from their website on PC so even if the phone got stolen or fell into a bonfire all my notes are safe.
I'm going to give the main password to a friend if I die lol
@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Or fell into a bonfire? Did this happen?
@UnderLockDown No lol just saying. It did happen to one of dad's friends like 17 years ago though.

I change them every other month
Write them all down in a journal book. I take a picture of that page and keep the journal book in a safe
My pics are NOT in the cloud

I am a paranoid. I don't trust most apps so I have a "trusted" encryption program that encrypts a plane old text file incase I forget.

Even then I clear its cache every time I need to use it!

Must note an encryption program can be use on any kind of file! Including your own images.

@DeWayfarer exactly
While some apps supposedly have special encryption whatever, they’re still an app that gets downloaded onto your phone. ALL apps spy and monitor/watch your activity and collect the data

@SW-User I am a paranoid!

Google for the most part is disabled!
All my passwords are the same.."Iforgotmypassword"
I only have one pin number to remember and it is a variation of the one that I have held since I was sixteen - I doubt that I'll forget it in a hurry.

As far as passwords go, I am a dab hand at hacking accounts that I set up as long as people leave them as I created them - so I eventually hack into them when I forget the password.

I write them down in a notebook.

I have a few easy ones but no one would know but me. And one hard one all memorized.
In my mind. If I forget, I click the forgot password option. So far it works everytime 😅
You could use a password-generation scheme which makes a different pw for each site...

I put them on a piece of paper and keep it in the Bible just to be safe.🙂
Keepass or a secured wiki vm.

@stound Yeah. But if you are withdraw your money at ATM, you gonna have to memorize your pin numbers too.
@iamelijah if i find that difficult, id put it into keepass on my phone. I tend to use spacial patterns on the keypad as my pins
I have one of those password generator apps. ... now I only need to remember one
