Finally finished up on a repair job yesterday. Switched out a rotten roll up door for a regular door with a deadbolt lock, added a few shelves inside, replaced a lot of rotten wood and painted it. Got paid and now now I can take a few weeks off and relax. Happy Friday everyone!
@MyPathOfTotality Oh the trials of a structure out of plumb 😩. Uneven plaster walls, crooked door frames, non standard dimensions. Tests the sanity and the will. Even harder when working with a rotted base.
My grandfather could do that, eyeballing a job perfectly--no measurements or T-square used. The pieces fit like a jigsaw puzzle. You crafted the lock nicely--that has my grandfather's hand in it...the memories. Paints up nicely too.
With those dimensions I'd probably caved and bought a new shed! I noticed the door was nicely overbuilt, and fit like a glove.
