Support for Medicare for All increased in 2020 to 63%; Medical costs a major reason for declaring bankruptcy

Pew Research Center, Sept. 28, 2020

"Among the public overall, 63% of U.S. adults say the government has the responsibility to provide health care coverage for all, up slightly from 59% last year. Roughly a third (37%) say this is not the responsibility of the federal government, according to a Pew Research Center survey conducted July 27 to Aug. 2 among 11,001 adults."

"A new study from academic researchers found that 66.5 percent of all bankruptcies were tied to medical issues —either because of high costs for care or time out of work. An estimated 530,000 families turn to bankruptcy each year because of medical issues and bills, the research found.
"Two-thirds of people who file for bankruptcy cite medical issues as a key contributor to their financial downfall."

Biden has always opposed Medicare. Though he doesn't seem to mind buying bombs for Israel.
