I Love Meditation

I hadn't been able to meditate for past so many days. I tried sitting quietly, but it always made me want to cry or scream and i did let my emotions out but it wasn't the same. It was like i didn't want to face my feelings but eventually, i did face them bit by bit..

Tonight, i just sat quietly with eyes closed.. Hadn't planned on meditating, just happened quite naturally..
When everything slows down.. All the noises in the head fade away.. Time seems to be still, as if not existing.. Nothing to do or achieve, just being.. Nowhere to go, nothing to accomplish, just sitting quietly..in silence.. An ineffable peace surrounds everything..

First and third meditation sessions, I found my mind wandering into the regrets of the past or worries of the future, but was able to guide it back to the present. Second session, my mind was screaming in every direction and would not rest in the present moment. That's fine, though. The effort itself is rewarding, I think.

Ah yes...don't you just love the stillness. Sometimes when my thoughts and emotions are that way I *try* and think of them as clouds passing.

Yes...stillness, silence, peace.. ^^ And that's a good way to think of them as clouds passing.. I'll remember it. :)

Relax and take deep breaths if it helps.Personally I use calm music and meditating outside in nature alone helps me aswell but meditate in whatever way makes you feel comfortable

I use a specific song...seems to help me get there. Don't achieve it so well with total silence, but that's my goal. Good for you.😊
