I Lost An Aunt
Aunt Deanne was more than just an Aunt to me. She put clothes on my back when I needed it, and paid the child support my drunken father didn't care about paying. She sent money to my mother off my father's house when it was auctioned off because he didn't pay property taxes due to his addictions. Deanne was one of the best things that happened to my life, even though I didn't get to see her much. I last saw her on Christmas of 2007, not even a year before she had a brain aneurism that took her life. I'm glad I travelled to Texas to see my dad's side of the family that year, because I would have regretted it had I not.
