It is. I think more and more that school uniforms are designed to make girls look more masculine. I love wearing a skirt but my white shirt is a boys white shirt with the buttons on the other side. It's as if we got to know our place in life, the male dominated life.

I think you should be told why certain rules are in place. To just hand down an arbitrary rule without goving an explanation seems wrong.

@blodyn You seem to be a bit of a perfume rebel, wearing fragrances when you are not supposed to. Rebel, rebel... reminds me of that classic late-great Bowie song. :)
