Ever just farted on a date with someone you were still trying to impress? I'm talking decibels and stink

I did once. Oddly, a strange calm with an undercurrent of defiant confidence came over me at a moment that I would have thought I would be mortified with panic and shame. She looked at me with a look of total disgust - bug eyed and mouth agape. Before I knew it, words I never intended to say aloud came out: "yeah, I farted - so what?" We were in the car. She was about to say something but just shut the hell up while the air temperature started to increase like some suicidal hot box filled with rancid collard greens and raw sulfur.

Sometimes I think back to the long funky silent ride to her house and busting out laughing...😂
