Do you realize this makes me come to the realization that I remember a time before cassette tapes? When having a genuine transistor radio was a big deal, even if it was only AM?

I do that would drive me nuts when it happened

Yes yes yes! I once had a big pile of tape I had pulled out from some old reels as a girl. They were been thrown out, so it was fun.

Yes.. and this was a great way to rewind them.

With cassette tapes I don't remember that happening often, however with video cassette tapes that did happen fairly often. Not only did the tape almost always wrinkle which forever caused the video to distort at that location, it is also harder to reel in the tape of video cassettes.

Lol, I still have quite a few sitting in my basement. I didn't have the heart to throw them out.

I remember making mixed tapes for friends on those 90 minute Maxwell tapes.

There was a project in like 4th or 5th grade where we had to record ourselves telling a story using a cassette tape lol!

Yes I do. Usually that happened because the pinch rollers on the cassette player were dirty

VHS tapes, too!

Especially anything over 60 minutes length.
Lost many a good album.
