Wait a minute..

Lolll Isn't ripping a plant out of the ground from its source of nutrients technically also "violence"? Just saying dude..
SW-User
Plants aren't sentient on the same level that animals are. They respond to stimuli and communicate between each other but they don't feel pain. Pigs are just as intelligent if not more intelligent than human toddlers. I agree with your sentiment but your logic sucks.
@SW-User this is tru. But does it rlly make it more ethical if the living thing isn't sentient?
SW-User
@SunPuppy Yes.
@SW-User alright. I still love steak tho :p

I also must point out that the amount of broccoli being consumed is probably more to get 100 calories
Elegy · 46-50
That's a silly question.
@Elegy just looking at it from a logical standpoint is all.
Elegy · 46-50
It's logical if you limit your information and make an ignorant conclusion.
Redstar · 36-40, M
What? Don't be ridiculous, that's not violence...
Redstar · 36-40, M
The entire point of plants like that is to be eaten by other creatures, like us.
You know the food chain? It's how nature has always worked. There's nothing wrong with it and nothing violent about taking a plant and eating it.
I suppose youd say taking an apple off a tree is violent too 🙄
@Redstar damn dude chill. I wasn't saying I necessarily agree with the view. I'm just playing devils advocate
Redstar · 36-40, M
I don't need to "chill" I was just making a point. Someone stating what they believe doesn't mean their angry or something.
And I had no way of knowing what you were doing, it sounded like you truly believed what you were saying.

Oh, the carnage in a wheat field, just so we can eat bread?
@wetncthru *sniffles* at what cost tho? At what cost...?
wetncthru · F
@SunPuppy About $2.00 a small loaf here!
