I Love Billy Joel

I would literally kill people if it meant he would release just one more album. Just one.

Guess I'm not An Innocent Man after all, hm?

nicely played. Billy himself would approve I'm sure. I too am a fan. I think in his day, Billy Joel penned some of the greatest lines, not least of which was "sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it's better than drinking alone". that gets me every time.
@SW-User "Some people hope for a miracle cure, some people just accept the world as it is." He had a way of encapsulating truths in epigrams that were just pure gold.

@IvanKaramazov "You may be right" :)
SW-User
well we all have our vices - i haven't ever listened to Billy Joel though - what's he like?
@SW-User He was a bit poppy in his musical sensibilities, but he could craft a powerful tune when the mood struck him, and his sensitivity to the social goings-on of his time and ability to render that understanding lyrically was like nothing else.
SW-User
@IvanKaramazov nice ^^ i'll check him out :)
@SW-User If you do, a particular favorite of mine was always his "Leningrad."
SW-User
Sounds like you're swimmining in a river of dreams.
@SW-User Maybe, and maybe he just learned to stop before he kicked off before he even got halfway through. But sometimes it's better to burn out than to fade away.
I borrowed my cousin's "52nd St" album during college and have been hooked on his music ever since. I love some of the 'deeper' and autobiographical stuff as well as the light-hearted work; 'it's still rock 'n roll to me.' 😊
