I Was Caned On The Hands In School

There seems to be a perception that girls received less corporal punishment at school than boys. Having taught in the era when corporal punishment was widespread and having chatted to many people on here, I am not sure that is actually true. However, I am sure there were some schools where boys received corporal punishment and girls did not. Personally I cannot see any reason at all for treating girls more leniently than boys. Girls benefit from firm discipline just as much as their male classmates.

It seems logical, but I can not remember a girl getting corporal punishments in my primary or secondary school (then, I went to a boy high-school). We boys got it often, with a ruler or a switch on the palm of the hands, in front of the class. In the high school, only the boarders were caned, in private, by the supervisors.

@Codrin it sounds to me as though your schools discriminated against boys. I can assure you that giris require discipline as much as boys.

I am the same opinion, but it did not happen in my school. I know my mother who was a teacher in a girl school, inflicted CPs on girls.

@Codrin I'm sure the girls benefitted from it

For sure. My wife got it and would approve your opinion too. Actually, my (female) class colleagues got spanking at home, and it happened I saw marks on their legs.

@Codrin How were girls disciplined? If they weren't completely out of control the school must have had some very effective method in place. That same method could have been used with boys. Now CP has been banned in many countries, that same method can now be used to replace it.

Maybe at home, I do not know, for on those times we chatted about CPs only between us boys.

PS: Oh, I remembered that during my secondary school a girls was expelled for repeated misbehaviour.

@Codrin The point is, the schools had a very effective alternative to CP. They ought to use it now instead of whining that the ban on CP has led to a breakdown in discipline. That's clearly an outright lie.
