Everyone thought I was powerful
I can assure you that being congratulated for weight loss just feels like your greatest fear confirmed.. you have to be thin to be valuable to the world!
It fvcking sucks!

People were happy that you had done something to achieve a substantial goal, and encouraging your success. I'm sure you were just as attractive 14 lbs heavier....

@Notanymore There is an obsession amongst my female friends to congratulate ANY weight loss, but not congratulate personal and professional accomplishments. I'm just bemused.

@JosephineTheFox fair play. But my comment was contrary to the point of your rant, whereas I generalized people based on my knowledge, opinions and experiences. And your retort considered your particular group of friends (which the original post implied) .
