I Love Sailing
So I've been sailing since I was a kid growing up on Lake Michigan. I have always loved the idea of Mother Nature being the force to work with in harmony with the water.
I've lived in a few parts of the USA that only have access to lakes, and these days smaller lakes only, so my ocean adventures have yet to begin.
I've owned a few boats dating back to my early 20's working my way up from a smaller racing scow to larger 'cruisers'.
My dream is to move closer to the coast and buy a larger "blue water" sailboat which I can sail virtually anywhere I desire. My ultimate dream is to cross at least one ocean before too long.
I love reading about those who sail the way I dream of, and I'm addicted to a few YouTube channels of people who sail around the world. I can't shake this bug and it's something I feel the need to do.
Over the next two years, I'm working to move to the Florida Gulf coast. I've been reading, studying, saving and doing everything I can within reason to make this happen. So far things are on track better than expected.
Keep your fingers crossed and feel free to offer any advice, etc that you like. I'm very open to learning everything I can (and not just about sailing). I love to learn from the experiences people have and keep my mind and thoughts open.
