I Want to Be In a Healthy Loving Relationship

So two weeks ago my GF dumps me. ๐Ÿ˜ญ A week ago I met a woman who helped me get over it....sweet, kind, caring, warm, compassionate, understanding, intelligent, accepting, loving and stunningly gorgeous. ๐Ÿ˜ We've really got the potential for a great thing started. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Tonight another woman practically begged me to consider her instead, even up to the point of asking me to ask my love interest if she'd be ok with sharing! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Wouldn't hear 'No' no matter how many times I repeated myself. ๐Ÿ˜ And all I can think is "Um, what in the unholy hell is going on here?!?" I mean I'm not precisely eye catching, and certainly not a head turner by any means. Sure I have a great personality...well, if you get me anyway, lol...and a good sense of humor. But this is more attention than I usually received even when I was young, trim and good looking! ๐Ÿคต

You've just come out of a relationship. Give yourself some time to breathe before committing again.

@Aidolovemostofyourthoughts: Yeah, you're probably right. I've never been good and feeling out the difference between a rebound and the next great thing. But then again some of my best relationships have come right after another had ended. In this case as well the ex kinda made it easier too...she broke up with me a first time a month before, and even though she came running back just 4 hours later, it's stunning how much a heart can change in just hours. *shrug*

@FordPrefect42: It can only change when your feelings were not strong to begin with. But yeah, if you feel ready, you know yourself better.
@FordPrefect42: if it's best relationship so soon after, it's usually because you were feeling in the dumps due to the original break up and that one helped heal your heart which was not really healed but just a bandaid on top of a bobo. Sooner or later, your bobo from breakup will resurface. Good luck.
so you found a woman on the rebound?

For me, I know I might be more the exception than the rule, it usually takes me 2-3 years to heal and be ready to get into another relationship.

@thinkbigaboutlife: I was only with the ex for 13 months...almost to the day. The fact that she broke up with me on our 1 year anniversary date the first time helped start the healing process, but sorta killed the getting back together a few hours later. When she broke up the second and final time I just accepted it.
@FordPrefect42: ok.

@Oosure: HAHA!!! Thanks,man! Like I told contestant #2 though, my heart is taken by contestant #1. And yes, it might not work out, but the chance at that one true life long love isn't worth risking for anything. โ˜บ lol
