What is friendship

What is friendship? I think that in reality that friendship has never existed for me the cause of friendship is always someone wanting something out of me having some expectation out of me its never a thing of someone wanting to really spend time with me or really caring about me its always something else. I do not think anyone has ever really liked me I think that I have had people that have cared about me but friendship true friendship might be something that has always evaded me.

When someone wants to be my friend they want money or they want me to do something for them or help them with something and to a degree I understand that we all help each other but it seems like in every relationship that I have been in that has been the underlining thing.
