I Remember When

My mom used to take us to the playground at crest lake park in Clearwater Florida when we were kids.. And we'd climb on the monkey bars and swing on the swings and glide down the various slides and play tag with random kids we didn't know..

This one time when I was 7 years old 1991 or 2 or so there was this cute blond dude was on the playground and we were playing tag and our older brothers who were short chubby dudes .. Stood in the bridge and talked about us.. That we liked each other..

Anyway after we left the playground my older brother teased me that I liked the dude but I pretended I didn't and I intentionally said his name all wrong (I think it started with an S)..

To this day I can't remember his name but I always remember him.. He was 5' tall and he was only 7.. I remember them remarking about how tall he was for his age.. Idk

Am I weird for remembering all this? *sigh*

Whatever.. I'm weird :/ shrugs

Well it's been around since the 80's or 90's under that term anyway.. The original believers were all Jewish but mainstream christianity is so far removed from its Jewish roots that most don't even understand the concepts or what it means to be a Jews and certain new believers were offended that other Christians were insistent they quit being Jews and Jewish so they branched out on their own to maintain their faith and identity as it were.. But then some Christians (none Jews got into it as well) (the messianic movement) but some of them went the other way.. Becoming Jewish converts and denying messiah and what not..

Then there's a whole other group who call themselves "two house" or Ephriamites or whatever and they aren't Jewish (as far as I know) but they go around calling themselves real Jews and even go as far as to assign themselves to certain of the twelve tribes and what not.. So *makes face*

But all this is probably way over your head, nay? Lol

But that's what I grew up in. The messianic movement (not the two house E weirdos).. Sigh

Tho to mainstream Christians the messianic people seem weird I guess..

Hmmm shrugs..
