I Remember When

My mom used to take us to the playground at crest lake park in Clearwater Florida when we were kids.. And we'd climb on the monkey bars and swing on the swings and glide down the various slides and play tag with random kids we didn't know..

This one time when I was 7 years old 1991 or 2 or so there was this cute blond dude was on the playground and we were playing tag and our older brothers who were short chubby dudes .. Stood in the bridge and talked about us.. That we liked each other..

Anyway after we left the playground my older brother teased me that I liked the dude but I pretended I didn't and I intentionally said his name all wrong (I think it started with an S)..

To this day I can't remember his name but I always remember him.. He was 5' tall and he was only 7.. I remember them remarking about how tall he was for his age.. Idk

Am I weird for remembering all this? *sigh*

Whatever.. I'm weird :/ shrugs

XD I still sometimes feel super guilty about this joke i made about my teachers cardigan when i was like 8 that offended her, despite the fact she apologised for being offended!

Oh.. For the longest time I was sore at my folks for taking away my balloon on my 5th birthday.. Lol but I got over it.. Recently ;) lol lol 😆

Well it's been around since the 80's or 90's under that term anyway.. The original believers were all Jewish but mainstream christianity is so far removed from its Jewish roots that most don't even understand the concepts or what it means to be a Jews and certain new believers were offended that other Christians were insistent they quit being Jews and Jewish so they branched out on their own to maintain their faith and identity as it were.. But then some Christians (none Jews got into it as well) (the messianic movement) but some of them went the other way.. Becoming Jewish converts and denying messiah and what not..

Then there's a whole other group who call themselves "two house" or Ephriamites or whatever and they aren't Jewish (as far as I know) but they go around calling themselves real Jews and even go as far as to assign themselves to certain of the twelve tribes and what not.. So *makes face*

But all this is probably way over your head, nay? Lol

But that's what I grew up in. The messianic movement (not the two house E weirdos).. Sigh

Tho to mainstream Christians the messianic people seem weird I guess..

Hmmm shrugs..

School is over in my FACT! :D

Er...agreed!...i think... :P

Oh I actually know more than a few prayers in Hebrew from going to said shul.. And also I know how to read it and can say a few words and short sentences in it as well :D I used to read stuff online.. I actually know a site one of my former friends (a Jewish guy) gave me a link to, that has the whole Jewish bible in Hebrew and English with full recordings of all the Jewish text.. I used to listen to it and read.. But it's really fast . Lol

I'm not even Jewish I'm just Christian Messianic, but my grandfather on my father's side may have been from a secretly Jewish family (I presume that they assimilated to Christianity to avoid prosecution for being Jews/Jewish). A sad loss of a heritage if you ask me.. :/

But yeah.. Most mainstream Jews hate Messianics and are paranoid of them in some cases.. To say that "Jesus" was anything but a man is offensive to them and against their religion in their eyes..

Religion isn't something I'm involved in closely nowadays.. But I used to care a lot... Sad to say..

I still believe in it tho.. Tho I walk contrary to everything I profess faith in..

God said himself his own arm would save them.. That he would be their savior..

They don't believe that Jesus was God

But who says that God can't be one of us? That God can't be a man and take a human form?

Who are we to limit God and say what he can't do and isn't allowed and isn't capable of..

It's like they don't even read their own scriptures or that they refuse to take it literally

They rewrite their own meaning to thing that are blatantly clear...

But that's the way it was meant to be.. I guess..

Till the hill splits

:P maybe she's trying to give her students good grades so she can look good as a teacher ;) I wanted to say that maybe she was drunk but that's an un unfair stereotype about Spanish people..

Maybe you're just a good student and you're underhandedly bragging .. Or just a lucky Christmas tree style test taker ;)

Ahhh I'm Gona get myself in trouble with too much speculation :P

*runs away*

The bit about why bother if you dont believe in God. The belief in God is surely the core, most important part and the rest isnt THAT necessary.
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
You are weird, so hugs not shrugs! :D Honestly, that isnt that weird really. I remember some of the most random stuff from my childhood and forgotten most of the important stuff... :P

HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
Maybe 60% of the grade is literally a memory test! :P
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
Well, considering she is from Spain, id be concerned if that was the case... :P Righto. Have fun! :)
YoMomma ·
Oh word.. Once I offhandedly told this girl at shul that she was dressed like a baby.. (She was wearing a super short frilly white dress like an old fashioned baby would wear) and I guess she thought I was being mean to her and she told her mom who told me to be nice to the girl.. I was kinda annoyed.. O.o Oy.. I wasn't even trying to be mean I was just surprised that anyone would wear such a thing to a religious establishment at her age (we were kids tho but I guess her folks weren't as strict with their dress code as mine) o.O

That's a sweet story.
YoMomma ·
Ah yeah.. I guess they just like having their lil social club or whatever idk *shrugs*
YoMomma ·
Lol oh.. School is fun imo..
YoMomma ·
Haha so much fun ;)
YoMomma ·
Well it's messianic so according to the Jews it may as well have been church.. ;) lol but my shul was more traditionally Jewish in their order of service.. More so than even modern orthodox or especially the reformed who are almost a joke in my book.. Why bother to go to shul if you don't even believe in God? Sigh
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
Right. XD Well, i even suck at Spanish (yet i got an A. Go figure, education system! :P ), so that likely wont work for me... :P
YoMomma ·
There's various levels and branches of religious stuff btw.. As far as Jewish stuff goes the orthodox and Hasidic Jews were my father's fav.. He was like fascinated with them.. Lol

But messianic people of fath aren't with mainstream Jews..

They are basicly just classic Christian/Jew.. Lol
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
But hebrew is so weird! I have no idea how to pronounce most of the bloody words!! GDBDGFGFAVXZWQR maybe... :P

Question: Does Schindler's List count as research? Because i am never forgetting that, no matter how much i want to... :'(
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
So theyre Jews that believe that Jesus was the son of God?
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
Yeah. The constant rewording and reinterpretation of texts to support a particular action or belief pisses me off, Leviticus being a particular sticking point for me. "Levicticus says gays are an abomination!!" "Yeah? Well it also says the punishment for tattoos is death, so WHY DO YOU HAVE A GIANT CROSS TATTOOED ON YOUR CHEST YOU BIGOTTED TWAT?!" :P

I honestly have never heard of Christian Messianism before. Religious Education really did a good job! :P
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
Theres a bloody difference between say a croquet club and devoting yourself to a god you dont believe in! Although, i suppose both involve silly hats... :P
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
Huh. Judaism is a lot more complicated than id realised... Damn, is this ANOTHER thing i have to research for fun?! :P
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
Honestly, I at first assumed you had just misspelled school, and had to google 'shul' I know basically nothing about judaism, so context be fucked on that one! :P
HatsOnFrogs · 26-30, M
XD So youre still Jewish? (Please dont tell me youre actually muslim and you were just doing it to take the piss... :P )
