there is simple solution, for those who want it. People who live in my country but want to be russian, move to russia. It is a big country, plenty of room for them.
But of course, the people making trouble are not Ukrainian, they are russian citizens planted by putin... and my belief from may, we are beyond saving, is still there. We have no real friends in world... we are let down by every one.

You are right your country was betrayed and its Putin who put the trouble makers there because he wants an excuse to invade.

The problem for the western world is although they have betrayed you its because they do not have any choice.
Its easy enough for America to go to war in Iraq or somewhere because they know in the end they will win because Iraq is no match for them so its a one sided victory.

With Russia though, they have the second largest nuclear arsenal in the world, in a regular war America would have a hard time taking on Russia so nobody is willing to take on Putin.

They are trying sanctions to fight Putin which I think has had enough effect to stop Putin launching a full scale invasion

Putin is a monster but he will not be there forever in the meantime your politicians need to try do deals with the EU, America and other friendly countries to try and hope things can get better but also remember your country will still be there long after Tsar Putin is gone.

you think this? you think there is not full scale invasion of Crimea? you think there is not full scale invasion by russian armoured battle group with latest russian army main battle tanks (never owned by Ukraine army, so certainly not captured from us) ust when our army is about to russian gangsters? you think there is not full scale invasion by russian supply column disguised as humanitarian aid? Just exactly what are you watching, when when you think your sanctions are helping? Putin has decided, every western leader is coward, physical and moral. And so far they prove him right!

I know what putin is doing but he has not sent those tanks across the border he is trying covert ways of doing things like the aid convoys sending in paratroopers no doubt special forces sent in to try and cause a lot of disruption but he has held back on the actual invasion and thats what I mean.

You are right Putin is paying the western world for fools I think largely its because they do not want to get involved with troubles because of Afghanitan, Iraq and the economy.
Look at Syria, Obama sat back for 2 years watched Assad kill thousands but he kept saying chemical weapon use is a game changer.

Then Assad used chemical weapons Obama still was not sure what to do
Eventuallty he was pressured into carrying out air strikes so he sent loads of ships to Syria but at the last minute he did a deal with Putin where Obama would call the ships back if Assad agreed to dismantle his chemical weapons program.

Countries are trying though to help Ukraine though sanctions and its having some effect but not enough but nobody is gong to go to war with Russia

Ukraine also is not say Saudi Arabia that has all that oil the world wants it is a sad reality that countries put their own interest first and you should know that.

You have been betrayed and its not right but you jus need to be creative, try ride it out and hope others will be able to put enough pressure on putin

ok so i guess you never hear of Budapest Memorandum... this was signed by USA, Britain and Russia to "guarantee territorial integrity" of Ukraine. You know what that means?
It means when one party to the memorandum, russia, invaded my country annexed our territory and very definitely violated our territorial integrity, USA and UK stood on sideline like ffuckking dummies! Had no idea what to do, no will to support us - even they put no value in their own signatures on the document. They are beneath my contempt!

Nobody was ever willing to go to war with Russia for Ukriane the only time even america would go to war with russia is if it was actually attacked by russia but would not go to war with russia for anybody.

Although I have not read this Budapest Memorandum does it say that if invaded these countries will offer military support I doubt it.
If they do not have a military option all they have is diplomacy and sanctions its not going to solve things overnight but they are just not sure what to do to be honest I think

That is why they accepted the result of that phoney referendum on Crimea .. it was an easy way out for them if Crimea voted to be part of russia

With Ukraine itself its not so easy for them to find an answer

It is your country and you rightly feel betrayed but also you must remember to ask yourself WHAT CAN THEY DO IF THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO GO TO WAR AND NEVER WERE WILLING TO GO TO WAR.


This is not the first time countries have betrayed others to avoid problems
Neville Chamberlin let HItler take Chekosolovaka because he did not want to go to war with Germany which is why he said we will only go to war if you invade Poland which Hitler told him he did not want.

Your a very intelligent girl and you understand politics so you must realise other countries do not always do the RIGHT THING they do the easy thing and try to make compromises like you can have this country as long as you do not take the other country.


When this is over first think Ukraine needs to do is join NATO because Putin does not want to mess with NATO because an attack on one NATO member is considered an attack on all of them then America and others would be obliged to take real action.
Also once a member you should consider developing nuclear weapons to make the russians think twice

I gotta agree. Ukraine gave up its nukes with the guarantee that the U.S. and NATO would protect it from aggression from Russia. Clinton initiated the agreement. Now, that Russia is getting aggressive, Obama is getting scared. . You should have kept the nukes. No nation that has ever possessed nukes has been invaded. Sorry.

I heard on the news that there have been 2000 Russian casualties in Ukraine since March and only 300 bodies have been returned to their families. They said that the Russians have buried their soldiers in mass graves. Who the F abandons their soldiers in a mass grass when you are only 20, 30 miles from your national border? Russia treats their soldiers like stray dogs. I wonder what else they are hiding ?

I am sorry but when you make statements like this i can only decide you are some part of russian propaganda machine. There is video and photo evidence of these tanks on our soil. No amount of kremlin denial makes it untrue.
Also, you seem perfectly relaxed that usa should sign a agreement it had no intention of honouring. At least the appeaser chamberlain intended to honour the munich agreement with germany - usa is more in position of hitler, who had no intention to do so.
Finally, do you really think that usa would allow Ukraine to join nato? It may make all sorts of positive and encouraging public statements, but behind scenes will block entry.

@Dallas... but there are no russian soldiers fighting in Ukraine, only some loyal russian citizens who go there on holiday to help! So it is impossible for russian soldiers to die in Ukraine fighting, so what bodies can you mean?

The soldiers we see on the evening news are wearing brand new uniforms and holding well maintained weapons that look new. The soldiers are well nourished and healthy looking. They might have some guys that cross the border looking for a fight but most of them are full time soldiers. They had to get those multiple rocket launchers and anti aircraft guns and artillery pieces somewhere I was in the American Army so maybe I am looking at it from a different perspective. But it takes a lot of organization, teamwork and training to launch missiles, drive tanks and assault towns.
