I Believe In Reincarnation

I had already wrote two stories of our family dog, and how he died recently. After his death, I was wondering is he going to reincarnate once again. So I had read a couple of resources, viewpoints, and also what Buddhism says, and it appears as not just pets, but also humans, in fact everyone reincarnates. Even though reincarnation wasn't proven scientifically, I could found some hints from near death experience (NDE), and out of body experiences. They all point out what Buddhism had said, meaning there is a mental body (gandhabba in Buddhism), which is actually responsible for giving us the awareness. Once the being died, it searches for another body, then attaches it to the body in the womb, and makes it alive. That's how we reborn or reincarnate, but it doesn't necessarily mean your pet is coming back to you. However, I have read how having strong karmic bond might make your pet to return to you. I guess it's sort of like law of attraction. If you strongly want something, you get it somehow, especially when you work for it.

It seems like it's not just limited to pets, but also humans. I don't have hard facts to prove this so far, but the information I found from multiple sources seem consistent. So I believe there is something more out there that we can't see. Besides, I feel strongly our family dog will come back to me. In this I am going to adopt him.!

It's correct to think that every event recurs: dogs, rocks, people, etc.

It's incorrect to believe that any two events are reunited after death.

@Success Not after death, but after reincarnated. It's actually quite possible.

"What is a karmic bond?

A karmic bond is a spiritual connection between two sentient beings that transcends death. It can be positive, or negative. When dogs return to their former owners, it is because the karmic bond was strong and positive."

@Angular I don't believe in magic.

@Success It's not magic. It's how this universe works. I have read multiple sources, personal accounts, books, and they all are consistent of the reincarnation. Besides Buddhism itself says many things of reincarnation. And about your pet returns back to you. It depends on the karmic bond. The more it strong, the more it likely to your pet to come back to you. I love our family dog a lot, and thus I believe firmly he will come back to me oneday. I should be more patient. It's just a matter of time.

@Angular Buddhism is founded on magic and wishing power. No building forward over several lifetimes is possible. And defeating the randomness of infinite space is too. if you're still using the Samsara universe as a model you should scrap that too. Or not. Your choice.

@Success Buddhism is based on truth, and logic, not on magic. There is no god, or supernatural entity that controls you. We everyone is managed by an universal system, which runs on its own. All the gods, Buddhas, humans, animals, brahmas all are subjected to it no matter how powerful they are. While I understand some sects in Buddhism like Tibetan can have some magical aspect, the true form, meaning Thervadha doesn't have any magical aspect. Samsara is a cycle of rebirth that demonstrates how beings reborn in each realm based on their karma level, and departing mind after they passed away. In the Samsara, we everyone is equal. There is nobody unequal in it. Everyone is treated equally. You have good karma, you get a good birt. You have bad karma, you get a bad birth. And YOU ALONE generates your karma. So you decide your own fate. We are made of not just physical body, but also mental body. The mental body has your karma attached with it. That's how this system we live in tracks of individual people. This mental body also gives us birth by attaching to a body in the womb.

So you are this mental body, but mental body alone doesn't produce a being, as you need consciousness to have the awareness, you need a physical body or a body compatible to that realm, for instance in Buddhist heaven (Buddhist heaven is a temporary place. you also die in there) you have a non-solid body that is invisible to us regular people. in human and animal realm you have a flesh body. In hungry ghost realm, you again have a non-solid body that is invisible to us regular people. In Buddhist hell (again a temporary place unlike Christian one) you have an invisible body to us regular people.

Consciousness is the psychic energy that runs your body giving you the awareness. You can have Consciousness, and mental body both, but once your mental body removes from your physical body you are dead, whereas when you lost your Consciousness, you are simply unconsciousness, not dead. It has been proven that with hypnotism, your past life memory can be unlocked. Also small children often recall their past life, so it means a portion of their memory might be carried over to next life with their mental body. maybe mental body has a small memory capacity that can hold somewhat of memory of our physical body. This might be why some pets return to their owners. Animals have a very less complex brains, so it's easy to carry information of their owner to their next life with mental body. I feel like once they reborn, they might immediately think of their former owner. Like children recall their past life, puppies might remember their past life too. With this combined with law of attraction, the pet, and the owner meet at one point of their life due to their strong attachment. and karmic bond.I feel like it's like you might strongly feel I have to go somewhere, then your pet might feel the same, then you both meet together.

@Angular Neither science nor reason confirms the existence of 'karmic bonds' and 'psychic energy'. It's all magical stuff someone invented to sound informative.
Angular · 31-35, M
@Success Science is what can be proven, not what is actually out there.
