I Am Afraid of the Dark

I am afraid of the dark. Although I'm not exactly sure why, I have two theories. The first is because of the things that have happened to me in the dark. Things I'd rather not say on here. But they could have caused it. The second is because I can't see as well in the dark. I'm afraid of not knowing what is going on. Plus, if someone was going to hurt/attack/ whatever me, chances are it would be at night. At least in my opinion. It's not like I'm always scared. It only occurs some nights, usually if I'm thinking too much. As long as I talk to someone I'm ok, so it's not really a big deal I guess.
