This question is very difficult for me to answer.
BOTH of my parents have done things what I NEVER can forget!

My mother is a really, really nice and good person and the two things she did and I cannot forget... - let´s say she didn´t know it better.

And my father? He has rejected me from up day 1 I was born and has done some things which actually should be unforgivable. He slapt me although I was still a baby, and threw a knife to my 8 years old brother. He is stuttering because of that until today...

But on the other site my father was ill. And my mother tried her best to handle his illness, but when she couldn´t handle it anymore she left him to protect us kids.

So I think there´s nothing unforgivable. Not to my mother who tried everything to protect us, and not to my father, who was just a very poor and ill man... 🤔😞

@Loretta78 That's awful. I'm so sorry you and your siblings had to go through that.

@Syntonic Well, it´s over now. And as I´ve said: My father was ill. So there´s nothing unforgivable.

@Loretta78 What was his illness?

@Syntonic He had major depression, and he was alcoholic too - as long we were with him. Potentially he was an alcoholic because he had severe traumas from his childhood.
Later, when we have left him already since years, he became also almost blind and had furthermore Parkinson´s disease.

And I won´t forget that my mother tried to help and support him even after the divorce to manage all his illnesses as far as she could.

Nevertheless I think it was a bless for my father that he died early. 😐
