I Was Fired

I was fired for calling out too many times I’m pregnant and deal with morning sickness. Isn’t that against the law

From Community Baby Center:

t depends, if you are unable to do your job or you call in too often, there is a possability you can lose your job. You are an employee and you don't get special privelages just because your pregnant.

If, however, your OB takes you out of work or orders some sort of work restrictions, that's another story. Usually pregnancy complications fall under FMLA or some other sort of protection for you. And if given work restrictions, they must be met if possible.

@Mamapolo2016 that sucks I don’t think I had any restrictions I just didn’t want to show up to s fast food place throwing up
I understand. They can't usially fire you for being or getting pregnant but they can for poor job performance. Restrictions means things like 'can't lift more than10 pounds' or 'can't work around chemical fumes.'@SW-User

@Mamapolo2016 I geuss I’ll accept it and move on
Do apply for unemployment. If you meet the hours worked requirements you may wualify. Then when your morning sickness passes, you can move on.

In future, if you have something that may prevent you from fulfilling your employer's requirements, and the reason is illness, talk
to your doctor and your boss and try to find an acceptable compromise. "I get sick in the morning - can I work evenings?" Normally the cause for a reasonable boss punishing you for such things is - whether you are sick or not, the customers have to be served, and if you are scheduled and don't report for work, the operation suffers.[@ya girl dakota]
