suzie1960 · 61-69, F

What do you say to the person that's got three doctorates and believes in God? You still just going to pretend you're smarter than they are?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@Sicarium having a degree does not grant intelligence
Sicarium · 46-50, M
@MasterLee She said educated, not intelligent.

@Sicarium That's the point....take the Bibble (spelling intentional).
Sicarium · 46-50, M
@Harriet03 That only works if you're using the same standards. If you're using the same standards, then you're not anymore "educated" than they are.

If you're just here to pat yourself on the back while giving atheists a bad name, then do you. But you're not going to get anywhere of substance. And you're giving atheism a bad name in the process. The stereotype of the insufferable atheists who's just in it for their own ego comes from nonsense like this.
GoodoldBob · 61-69, M
@Sicarium Some stereotypes are accurate. This one surely is.
UnexpectedHuman123 · 22-25, M
Because there is no evidence of God existing
HannibalMontanimal · 26-30, M
Everything had to come from something so yea obviously there is a creator
AtheistsForJesus · 36-40, M
@HannibalMontanimal Where'd the creator come from?
HannibalMontanimal · 26-30, M
@AtheistsForJesus I have no clue. How would I be able to answer that question when I came after the creator
The early church fathers would point out that the Christian mystery, by it's very nature, is trans-rational. As Tertullian said: Prorsus credibile est, quia ineptum est. Translated: It is to be believed because it is absurd. Which is precisely why I have no place at anyone's table these days.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
Kind of the same vein of lack of evidence of existence
GoodoldBob · 61-69, M
Yes, sometimes people do delude themselves that a few years of college makes them wiser than they really are. It comes from confusing the mere memorization of data with actual critical thinking. Usually after a few years it wears off and they come back around to being sensible but not always.

What makes you think you are educated besides yourself? Don’t tell me...you are a gnostic and you believe everything.
