Hirokazu Kore-eda

This may be repeating myself, i'm getting old and forgetful, but i don't think i shared a picture yet here of all 12 of the titles i not too long ago snapped up.

THE ROAD TO THIS GUY

Someone here had mentioned his 2018 film, i had said i'd get around to it

Someone on reddit replied to my post about Criterion mega set wishes with - Koreeda.

Then what clinched it was seeing a couple video appreciations on him, and some reviews on Letterboxd.

As with Kitano, i was able to get 12, this was an amazingly fruitful time of getting modern Japanese films with also the magnificent Tsukamoto set, which totals 10 (8 features), Miike (2 trilogies = 6) and 3 Immamuras. ALL excellent top quality stuff, Kore-eda as i first watched him was like floating on a cloud, being carried by an exceptional genius who was in complete control in his chosen medium, his metier.

@Ghostinthemachine Hope you enjoy, he hasn't ever made a bad film, The Truth is the least good though imo, if you can see "Nobody Knows".
@SW-User Thank you.
