Here's a different perspective...
Some people don't like to go out. It can be a real issue if they have social anxiety.
Some people have no clue of how to do couply or romantic things...
People can show love in their own way. It doesn't always amount to flowers and candies and doing exactly what we want.
Only you know this person...
If he was hurt by your words, maybe he now thinks you think less of him for not organising the date.
Perhaps if you really want to experience a proper date, you could organise the date? Give him an example of what makes you happy.
But remember ...
What makes you happy isn't necessarily what makes happy too. Might be wise to choose to do something you will both enjoy...
If he isn't interested in attending any date you organise then perhaps it's an opportunity for you to communicate that you are unhappy. Enabling you to make an informed decision on the future of your relationship.
