This is something to celebrate.

There is no iron clad number. The planet can best be compared to an aquarium. If maintained scrupulously clean with all elements held in balance the numbers can be push up. But the more yo put in the more careful you have to be to get everything right. So we are overdue for a clean and filtration renewal right now.

@whowasthatmaskedman were already detrimentally affecting the planet with a modern lifestyle that can't be sustained into the future

@whowasthatmaskedman Ecologically the human popoulation shouldn't be more than around 10 million.

@ClanNaFiacaillApWythe I would be fine with 3 to 4 billion. Modern agriculture can deal with that..But a few ground rules for Fresh water protection and land clearance would need to be set in stone

Hmmm ... I too believe that population is a huge challenge and a definite problem.. but.. I wouldn't ever welcome the extinction of one nation - and especially not Japan.. There's a LOT we could learn from the Japanese and there's a lot to be admired..

I think we'd need to be pretty careful about choosing a nation to look forward to extinguishing.. as there are a good few frontrunners before Japan that could be more deserving! And some of these are closer to home

I am not celebrating their extinction truly, but rather the population decline. I don't think they will go outright extinct but just be greatly reduced in numbers as will certain other groups.

Kind of hard to believe that the Japanese will die off in just a 1000 year's. Didn't they bring up parent's can have 2 kid's instead of just one not long ago
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@smileylovesgaming That was the Chinese. The Japanese are not getting married or having children fast enough to replace themselves
smileylovesgaming · 31-35, F
@whowasthatmaskedman isn't some of their cities over crowded. They couldn't take any more people anyway. Will at least another 60 or so year's
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@smileylovesgaming The crowding and cost of housing is part of the family issue. kids still at home well into their thirties

You missed the boat. That ship sailed about 25 years ago.
