Do you have dual citizenship?

I would have been able to apply for American citizenship but my mother didn't put my father on my birth certificate, while he was a live I tried to get it corrected but I needed her help, anyways he's passed away now so that's a dead end.

I have the same im duel candian and uk as my mom was born there and passed it to me
