I Am On a Self Improvement Journey
Taking the Leap (written 6/26/16 11:29pm)
I often find myself wishing I had more time.
More time to finally start my fitness routine. More time to finish that personal project I've been working on. More time to develop into who I want to be...
But I've come to the realization that I have PLENTY of time. I just chose to squander it whichever distraction that seems most enjoyable at the time. I'm currently working on self-control. Being able to say no to the things that will make me feel good in the moment, but keep me from doing the things that will make me better in the long run.
It's hard work and it's scary. I find myself creeping back into old habits too. But I accept the fact that I will always be a work in progress. A masterpiece that is continually being painted.
I just need to learn to appreciate the journey, be patient, and know that even within failure there is beauty.
