I Used to Be In the British Army

Parted ways on bitter terms still have respect for those who have, are and died serving though

It sounds like it was a tough time in many ways for you. The forces are necessary but sadly so often damaging to those who volunteer to protect others. I hope you find a satisfying civvy life.

@Frank52 seen it tear apart friends things we have seen and friends we watched despair consume them

Civvy life's hard to fit back into but will get there

@Therifleman Good to know you're positive and determined. Good people around you and listening to sound advice are important for everyone for good mental health. Don't be afraid to reach out for help - many men make the mistake of believing the nonsense that 'real' men are loners and can cope. You know how important team work is in the army - same outside in many ways, just different ways of doing it.

Talking and venting can help release that pressure on the inside. Do you have a therapist? @Therifleman
