I Do Not Understand Homophobics

I was born around a homophobic culture. Even my fiance is homophobic. I am the only one who don't hate homosexuals. And that gives me another fearful thought. What if my future child turns out to be homosexual? I am sure my family won't accept him/her and try to hurt my child in any way possible. I don't know how I can protect my child from them. I wish my child won't be a homosexual for his/her sake.

@ISeeYou I had to say it because I don't want my children go through any of the torture that most of gays get in my culture.

I have seen too many incidents where they have been shamed in public

@JBird I can try to understand. But still is difficult for me to ignore the contradiction. I hope you do not have to make that choice of not allowing them their freedom.

@ISeeYou I want to give them freedom but being born in a homophobic culture, I think it's like walking in a minefield. Another solution is to send them to another country so they can live without being monitored.
