I Have Random Thoughts

Last night just before I was dowsing off to sleep, I heard my 11 yr old daughter yelling, I mean, I was lying in bed and my roommate was already snoring in the other room, and here I am hearing the sound of my daughter yelling in my head and this is the first time I've ever heard a yelling voice in my Head. Weird, I tell ya! And my girl wasn't even home, she was sleeping over at her aunts place.

Hypnogogia. The border between the waking world and the dreaming world. Lots of crazy shit can happen there that seems 100% real, but isn't.

I think this is where alien abduction and demonic posession and religious experience stories come from.

If you held onto consciousness, or stayed in that state of consciousness, it would have evolved into visual hallucinations. Dream figures, while you're still technically awake.

I heard my brother screaming with my dad, yesterday, but they weren't here, either.

@Jax316 True. Only the future will tell. But one thing is sure: mystical thinking turns out to be wrong a lot more often than rational thinking does. The border-dream you had last night isn't an omen. It's just a function of the human brain.

I've had this happen. One night I swear I heard my kid say "I'm hungry", and he wasn't even home. Silly brain.
