I Don't Get Along With My Mom

my mom never gives me good reasons why I cant do something. she does not give me a chance to explain why I want something. the vacation she wanted to take with me I wanted to pay for my friend to come along but she says it would be too complicated to bring anyone else along, my friend is layed back they would go with any of my plans and i do not get to see them much and she does not let me go overseas on this vacation alone or without her. I bought her a surprise gift when she came back to the us and she demanded the check and returned the gift. she didn't like my next gift it was a gift card to a restaurant. we had to use it it was too late for returns. its sad i dont have anyone else. she dosent work but my dad does and he lives in a different state, so i cant do much with him. My friend is always busy. basically the only times i get to see him is when we go on vacation. we have an opposite work schedule. and he does not like to take off just to hang out, he gets few vacation days so he wants to use them for something special not just hang around the house. my mom just does not give a good reason and does not give why she can not give a good reason to do something, i am supposed to just take her word for something. good thing she does not work she is difficult to work with because she does not compromise.
