I Like It When It Rains
Short writey thingy I made once, years ago. Came home from work with rain on the road. Enjoy.
[i]Flash. The sky lights up brightly, followed swiftly by the loud roar of thunder. The engine is snoring happily onward. It's sleepy, much like myself. The clock ticks 3.15 AM and I'm almost home. Driving trough the empty streets while classical music is blasting out of my speakers. The rain is rumbling harshly onto my windshield, only to trickle down the side of my car. As I park, the beauty of the rain and thunder amazes me like it always does. And I decide to enjoy this moment of loneliness. The magical midnight where no one will tell you to do anything, because everyone is asleep. That's why it is okay to leave the car running amidst the thunderstorm, solely to hear the beautiful symphony of rain, thunder, classical music, the snoring of the engine and the burning of a cigar. As the smoke rises to the roof and out the window, I close my eyes.
