I Am Confused

Right, so I just had a conversation with jennypenny in the comments of one of my posts. You can see it in my "I am an Atheist" story. I'd just like to ask, what else could I have possibly done? I'm sure I did all I could to be rational but seriously, what the hell else could I have possibly done in that scenario?

Most of the time arguing with a religious person will never work. Religion, by pretty much all definitions, does away with logic in place of faith.

You can't allow any arguments to shake or disturb that faith or else it all crashes down.

I used to agree, but when it comes to religion, in all honesty, how else are they going to learn?

And as for politics, it's important to engage with your government so that your voice can be heard and your opinion noted and so that you can have an impact, however small, on the political system of your country.
