I keep hearing that women are only paid 75c for every $1 a man earns, what are some companies which have been found guilty of this? Have they been charged?

I believe that it is to do with a primitive use of mathematics. I am doubtful that many (if any) companies actually pay women less for the same job. I might be wrong but that is what I think.
